I made a day-trip out of this hike, and I loved it. The wildflowers were ridiculous, and I made it up there on a mostly sunny/partly-cloudy day. The view from the top is pretty grand, with great views of the surrounding Selkirk range. At the top the insects were pretty bad, but it's a cool area with some sweet man-made chairs made out of the rocks up there. Cool area to hang out for a bit and have lunch. The downside of this hike is there is no running water once you get past the first several switchbacks as you work your way up out of the woods. So, if you don't pack enough water, you'll probably be struggling a bit. I refilled on my way down, even after drinking through 3.5 Liters of water. It was about 80 degrees out for me, though, so that definitely impacted how much I drank.
