Trail 110 is one of the core trails within Mount Spokane State Park, beginning just inside the park entrance and providing access to numerous connector trails. Hike it as an out-and-back to learn the intersections, then explore the connecting trails to form loop routes.

From the first trailhead past the park headquarters, begin a steep climb from the kiosk. The first section is steep, but within a 0.5-mile it intersects an old roadbed and continues along a far mellower grade.

The trail is adjacent to the Burping Brook Natural Forest Area for the first approximately 1.5 miles. Next, cross the Mount Kit Carson Loop Road near the vault toilet and picnic area along Burping Brook, and continue the climb as the trail is joined by Trail 100. When Trail 100 splits off to the left and crosses the bridge, bear right and continue uphill.

The forest gradually becomes more alpine in nature, as the thick under story of the early miles is replaced by bear grass and smaller shrubs. The trail ends at Saddle Junction, the jumping off point for additional adventures, as three major peaks are accessible from this location: Mount Kit Carson, Day Mountain, or Mount Spokane.

This is also the logical turn-around point for 7.5 mile round trip hike.
