This walk takes visitors along the Edmond's waterfront via a paved path. Starting out at Marina Beach Park where there is a spacious off-leash dog area and a driftwood-filled beach, the path parallels the water before going over a series of bridges that deliver visitors right to the edge of the Marina. It's fun to walk here and look out at all the boats bobbing in the water.

Views of the water come and go as the marina tapers off to become a stretch of parking lots. This section isn't long, and walkers will quickly breeze through it along the marked path. Once again, the path returns to the waterfront where there is a long pier stretching out into the Sound. From here the choice is yours: drop down onto the sand and walk along the beach, or stay high and stick to the paved path--both offer unobstructed views of the water where ferry boats come and go all day long.

At this point you can stop and enjoy this beach called Brackett's Landing South, or you can continue on to a second beach just on the other side of the ferry dock (Brackett's Landing North). Simply head upland to the entrance of the ferry terminal and use the cross walk to get over to this other beach; it's a bit smaller and rockier. Be sure to look for scuba divers heading out into the water to explore an underwater playground of sorts that lies beneath the waves. This beach is a great option for a starting point because there is a parking lot and a restroom.

The beach may extend up along the coast from here for a few hundred feet, but this is completely dependent on the tide. If you do decide to carry on, just be sure you don't get stranded too far out when the high tide rolls in.
