The Deceiver Trail is a hiker-only trail in the southern reaches of Cougar Mountain. It is a connector trail so it does not have its own devoted trailhead but can be reached on foot from multiple trails in the park.

It connects to the Shy Bear Trail at its western end and the Long View Peak Trail at its eastern end. About halfway along the Deceiver Trail, hikers have the option to head down a short side trail to Doughty Falls.
