The Coyote Creek Trail runs north-south through the northern half of Cougar Mountain Regional Park. If you follow Clay Pit Road from the Sky Country Trailhead, this trail is the first one splitting off to the left.

From this junction, head out through the trees for half a mile before coming to the next fork. A left here will take you down the Radio Peak Trail. Stay straight to contour around a gentle slope on the Coyote Creek Trail for another 0.6 mile.

The trail ends at Southeast Cougar Mountain Road. Just before hitting the pavement you can turn right down the Shangri La Trail to continue exploring or head back down Coyote Creek to connect to any number of other trails.
